It’s not just the name of a great song. It’s been my mantra for this entire week.
No, Mother Mary did not come to me and whisper words of wisdom… I just found myself saying “let it be” many times over the past week for various situations. From kidney stones to chorus shows to work woes and everything in between. Whisper words of wisdom. Let it be.
From hospital stays to hair that grays to laundry piled to the ceiling; there will be an answer. Let it be.

Tax time. Man I hate it.
And it’s not just because it’s a yearly ritual and something you HAVE to do every year– it’s because for the last few years, instead of getting a refund (like I USED TO back in the GOOD OLD DAYS), I have to pay MORE to our blessed government.
So I did my taxes today… and I have to pay and EXTRA $160. EXTRA. It’s ridiculous. Pathetic. Insipid.
So that’s what I’m talking about in today’s podcast, in addition to the weather (it SUCKS), my upcoming week (it SUCKS), and a whole lot more baloney (or in this case, french fries).
I’m still on the lookout for some good “pod-safe” music for my show. I had a touch of the flu over the weekend, and still wasn’t feeling 100% this morning. So I stayed home and got LOTS of sleep.
Thankfully, it was warm under the covers, alone, with my kitties at the foot of my bed.
I’m feeling much better now.
I hope you’re enjoying my foray into the podcasting world. I’m having a good time with it. I think I needed something to spruce up my interest in blogging… and if this helps, then I’m all for it. I love this medium and how it allows me to share things with ‘the group’– mainly, you!
I won’t be abandoning blogging though. There will be days when I just have something to write out and not talk about. Besides, I know there are probably many of you out there that don’t have the ability to download podcasts or listen to them. I don’t want to alienate anyone.
Just keep in mind that you don’t need an iPod to listen to a Podcast. It’s just an MP3 file! 
So with that said… on today’s podcast I talk about Valentine’s Day and what it means (or doesn’t mean) to me. And I share a bit about something that happened today– something in the romance department.

It’s crazy how things change so quickly.
During today’s visit to Kenosha, I noticed a lot of changes to my hometown. The last time I was there — only a month ago– these changes hadn’t occured. I’ve been living in Chicago for nearly 10 years now, and every time I go home, I notice more and more changes.
Things never stay the same– that’s the process of life. And that’s the basis of today’s podcast.
